Ms. Batungbacal to head ICT Asia-Pacific

NEWTOWN, Pa.—Karen V. Batungbacal *83 is the new president of ICT Asia-Pacific. She will be responsible for overseeing existing operations in the Philippines and Australia, as well as future expansion initiatives in other Asian countries.

Previously, Ms. Batungbacal was chief executive officer for Source One Asia, a joint venture of Source One and Customer Contact Centers (C-cubed), a company she founded and launched. C-cubed is one of the largest third party contact centers in the Philippines.

Ms. Batungbacal also previously served as regional manager for American President Lines in the United States and Asia. She formerly held executive positions at Citibank and various companies of Benpres Holdings Corp., a leading Philippines infrastructure and utilities conglomerate.

Ms. Batungbacal holds a B.S. degree from the University of Notre Dame and a master’s degree in chemical engineering from Princeton. She currently serves as president of the Contact Federation Philippines, which she cofounded in 2001. Additionally, she previously served as president of the Customer Service Association of the Philippines (CSAP), which she also cofounded in 1997.

Mr. Kurylak named president, COO

RED BANK, N.J.— Victor K. Kurylak ’79 has been named president and chief operating officer of First Montauk Financial Corp. Mr. Kurylak has extensive experience in the financial services and insurance industries. He began his career at Arthur Anderson in the consulting division for the securities industry and has served as chief operating officer of County Nat West Government Securities and as chief information officer of Rockefeller Financial Services. Most recently, Mr. Kurylak was an owner and Executive Vice-President at Madison Consulting Group, a premier public sector insurance brokerage firm in New Jersey acquired by Summit Bank.

Mr. Kurylak earned his B.S.E. in civil engineering. He holds NASD Series 7, 24, and 63 licenses and New Jersey Department of Insurance Producer Licenses for Health, Life, Property, and Casualty.
