SEAS thanks Dean Wei for leadership

The School of Engineering and Applied Science hosted a party May 23 to recognize and express appreciation for James Wei and his 11 years of service as dean.

Speakers included Princeton University President Shirley Tilghman, Professor of Chemical Engineering William Russel, Professor and Chairman of the Electrical Engineering Department Peter Ramadge, Professor and Chairman of the Computer Science Department David Dobkin, Dean of SEAS Administration Roland Heck, Professor and Director of the Master’s in Engineering Program Stuart Schwartz, and Associate Provost for Research and Project Administration Allen Sinisgalli.

“I was on the search committee to select the new engineering dean 11 years ago,” President Tilghman said. “We wanted someone to bring a new level of excellence to engineering. There is no doubt that we have been very successful.”
