EQuad News staff earns accolades



Building bridges across disciplines, which appeared in the summer 2001 issue of EQuad News, was named a 2002 Distinguished Achievement Award finalist by the Association of Educational Publishers.


The fall 2001 issue of EQuad News received an Award of Distinction in the Communicator Awards 2002 print media competition.

The staff of EQuad News received three recognitions of excellence.

The first is from the Association of Educational Publishers (Ed Press). Building bridges across disciplines: Engineers educate a university, a series that appeared in the summer 2001 issue of EQuad News, was named a 2002 Distinguished Achievement Award finalist.

The series was recognized in the category: Periodicals, Series, Adult for its “editorial clarity; clear, tight, and lively writing; consistency in style, content, and purpose; and impeccable research, accuracy, and grammar. The ideas are clearly linked and all parts are relevant to the main theme.”

The Distinguished Achievement Awards seek to set the highest standards in educational publishing.

In addition, the staff received two Awards of Distinction in the Communicator Awards 2002 print media competition.

The first Communicator Award of Distinction went to the fall 2001 issue of EQuad News in the category educational institution newsletter. The second Communicator Award of Distinction went to Sara Peters for her news article titled Engineers search for answers, which appeared in the fall 2001 EQuad News.
