Leadership
Council meets

Fourteen of the 17 members of the
School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS) Leadership
Council attended this year’s meeting.
“You have been our faithful friends and supporters for
a long time,” said James Wei, dean of the SEAS. “There
was a time when engineering was on the fringes of Princeton
University and we started telling the administration about
all the accomplishments of the engineering school; but we
have to do more. We have to move forward. I hope that you
will give my successor all the support you have given me.”
Dennis Keller ’63, chairman of the SEAS Leadership Council,
commented that Dean Wei had established the group in 1991
and that he felt fortunate to have served all 11 years.
“It has been more than a pleasure working with Jim Wei
and my colleagues over these years,” Mr. Keller said.
“Our role is to listen, consider, and respond to the
needs of SEAS. Engineering adds to the University, and one
of the tasks I want this group to continue to work on is communicating
that message both inside the University and outside the University
community.”
