Jonathan Huberman was named CEO of Tiburon, a provider of public safety and security software for secure cloud and on-premises solutions. He had been serving as the company’s interim president and CEO.
Huberman was managing director at the Gores Group, a private equity investment firm and Tiburon’s sole investor, before joining Tiburon. Prior to that, he was president of the consumer and small business products division at EMC Corporation, overseeing the company’s China growth initiatives, and CEO of Iomega Corporation, which was acquired by EMC in 2008. Earlier in his career he was managing director and co-founder of the hedge fund aAd Capital and a partner at Idanta Partners, among other executive management positions.
Huberman received an A.B. in electrical engineering and computer science from Princeton in1988. This was followed by an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
