Hal Stern gave the introductory keynote address at the SOA World Conference on June 25 in New York City. Stern, who graduated from Princeton in 1984 with a B.S.E. in electrical engineering and computer science, is the Distinguished Engineering and vice president of global systems engineering at Sun Microsystems. He also is the inventor and co-inventor of three networking technology patents and the coauthor of books on computer technology.
