Eric Roegner was named to a new position at Alcoa, a company that produces primary and fabricated aluminum. He is now chief operating officer of investment castings, forgings and extrusions. Roegner also serves on Alcoa’s Executive Council, contributing strategic direction while the company plans to expand.

Previously, Roegner was the president of Alcoa forgings and extrusions and since June 2012 led Alcoa Defense. He joined Alcoa in 2006 as chief operating officer of global extruded products. In prior years, he was a partner with McKinsey & Company and a field engineer with Schlumberger Ltd. Currently he serves on the boards of directors for the Ohio Manufacturers Association and the Ohio Chamber of Commerce and on the board of governors of the Aerospace Industries Association. Roegner holds a BSE in mechanical and aerospace engineering from Princeton, 1991, and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University, 1994.
