The 2014 Art of Science exhibit opens Thursday, May 8, at 4:30 pm with a wine-and-cheese reception in the Friend Center Atrium on the Princeton University campus. Everyone from the Princeton community is invited to attend.

The Art of Science exhibition explores the interplay between science and art and consists of images and video produced during the course of scientific inquiry that have aesthetic merit. It features work by undergraduates, faculty, post-docs, staff, graduate students, and alumni.

Prizes for the top entries will be announced at the opening reception.

Art of Science 2014 is sponsored by the David A. Gardner ’69 Fund in the Council of the Humanities, the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory, and the School of Engineering and Applied Science. Prizes are provided by by the Office of the Dean for Research. The exhibit is co-sponsored by the Lewis Center for the Arts, Princeton Institute for Computational Science & Engineering, Council on Science and Technology, Keller Center, Office of the Vice President for Facilities, Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics, Cooperative Institute for Climate Science, Princeton Neuroscience Institute, and the departments of Astrophysical Sciences, Computer Science, Chemical and Biological Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Molecular Biology, Physics, Psychology and Art and Archaeology.
