Jason Michener is an engineer at Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan, serving in various positions since joining the car company in 2004. He has helped to launch Ford, Mercury and Lincoln models and recent Ford F-Series trucks. Some of the SUVs he worked on were featured in the January 2015 issue of Car and Driver magazine in the article “Tow Boats.”
The Lincoln Navigator and Ford Expedition are the first two vehicles for which he was the CCD (continuously controlled damping) system engineer. Over 10 years ago, he did a very simple version of this system for a controls project while a student in Professor Michael Littman’s MAE 433-Automatic Controls class.
Michener graduated from Princeton with a BSE in mechanical and aerospace engineering 2003.
