Sarah Morrison Barpoulis ’87 elected to SJI board of directors

South Jersey Industries (SJI), an energy services holding company, appointed Sarah Morrison Barpoulis to its board of directors effective April 20. The appointment includes election to the board of South Jersey Energy, the parent company for some SJI businesses. Barpoulis will also serve on SJI’s Audit and Governance Committees.

Barpoulis’ professional career matches well this role as board member. She is the owner of Interim Energy Solutions of Potomac, Maryland, a private energy consulting and advisory firm with a focus on risk management. She also serves on the board of directors of SemGroup Corporation, a publicly held company that moves energy through a network of pipelines, terminals and storage tanks. Earlier in her career, Barpoulis was at PG&EN National Energy Group, advancing to senior vice president, energy trading.

Barpoulis graduated from Princeton with the class of 1987, earning a BSE in civil engineering. She received an MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
