Victoria Handa, M.D. ’82 named to two positions at Johns Hopkins

It was announced that Victoria Handa is now director of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and deputy director of gynecology and obstetrics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. In addition, she is a professor of gynecology and obstetrics, director of the division of female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery at Johns Hopkins, and holds a joint appointment in the Department of Epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Before joining the faculty at Johns Hopkins in 2010, Handa was chief of the Division of Gynecology and director of urogynecology at the University of California-Davis. She graduated from Princeton with a BSE in civil engineering. Her medical degree was received from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and her residency was completed at the University of California-San Francisco, followed by a fellowship at the University of California-Irvine. In 2001, Hanna earned a master’s of health science in epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
