James Soss ’87 is executive vice president at YuMe

YuMe, Inc., a provider of global audience technologies that brings together brand advertisers and consumers of video content across a range of connected devices, announced that James Soss has joined the company as executive vice president, general manager of North America. In this position he will oversee North America sales, business development and customer operations.

Before the move to YuMe, Soss was group vice president for Responsys/Oracle, where he led the North America business and was responsible for global customer organizations. Previously, he was chief executive officer of Red Aril, an online media technology company providing real-time audience and media-optimized solutions to the digital advertising market, which was acquired by Hearst Corporation in 2011. He also held leadership positions at Acxiom and Infogroup. Soss earned his BSE in civil engineering from Princeton in 1987 and MBA from the Booth School of Business at The University of Chicago.
