Two papers by Princeton Engineering researchers have been selected for inclusion in IEEE Micro’s January/February 2008 Special Issue of Top Picks from Computer Architecture Conferences.

IEEE Micro’s Top Picks issue, published yearly, recognizes papers “most relevant to industry and significant in contribution to the field of computer architecture.”

One of the papers is by Princeton University computer science graduate students Matthew Bridges, Neil Vachharajani, Yun Zhang, and Tom Jablin, coauthored with David August, associate professor of computer science. The paper, titled “Revisiting the Sequential Programming Model for Multi-Core,” originally appeared in the proceedings of the International Conference on Microarchitecture.

The other paper is coauthored by Amit Kumar, a graduate student in electrical engineering at Princeton, and his advisers: Li-Shiuan Peh, an assistant professor of electrical engineering; Niraj Jha, a professor of electrical engineering; and Partha Kunda from Intel Corp. The paper, titled “Express Virtual Channels: Toward the Ideal Interconnection Fabric,” was first published in the proceedings of the International Symposium on Computer Architecture.
