Christie’s names Kenneth S. Citron ’87 new CIO

Christie’s announced that Kenneth Citron joined the auction house as chief information officer and international managing director for e-commerce. In this capacity, Citron will be responsible for integrating technology platforms across its world-wide business units. In addition, he will direct the ongoing development of the company’s e-commerce channel.

Christie’s was founded in 1766 in London and currently, according to its website, has 53 offices in 32 countries, plus 10 salesrooms around the world.

Before the move, Citron was COO, CIO and executive vice president of publishing operations at Rodale Inc., a global media company that focuses on health, fitness and well being. Citron received an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania in 1995 and a BSE in civil engineering from Princeton in 1987.
