The HTC Corporation named Chia-Lin Chang as chief financial officer and spokesperson effective April 16.

Chang, a 1998 Princeton graduate with a Ph.D. in electrical engineering, moves from a position as investment banker and partner at Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong. At HTC he will be responsible for corporate finance and accounting, strategic acquisition and investment and investor relations.

HTC, founded in 1997, designs and manufactures many mobile devices sold under brand names of other companies. Since 2006, the company has sold mobile devices under its own brand. HTC’s portfolio includes smartphones and tablets powered by the Android or Windows Phone operating systems.
