Doug Boothe was appointed in August to serve as CEO of Actavis United States, the North American arm of Actavis Group, an Iceland-based pharmaceutical company that specializes in development of generic drugs. North America is the largest market for the company, which is the fifth largest producer of generic drugs in the world.

Booth joined the company in 2005 and previously served as executive vice president of U.S. commercial and administration. He has also worked for General Electric, Mars & Co. Consulting, Xerox Corporation and Pharmacia. He holds an M.B.A. from Wharton School of Business and a B.S.E. in mechanical and aerospace engineering from Princeton University.
