Robert Briskman ’54 receives award for founding Sirius radio

Robert Briskman ’54 received the Technology Business Leadership Award from the A. James Clark Engineering School at the University of Maryland for his role in founding Sirius Satellite Radio.
In mid-April Briskman was presented with the 2007 American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Aerospace Communications Award at an international conference in Seoul, Korea. Awarded for an outstanding contribution in the field of aerospace communications, Briskman was recognized for his role in developing and advancing the Satellite Digital Audio Radio Service (SDARS).
