RockPort Capital promotes Kevin Kopczynski ’98 to partner

RockPort Capital, a multi-stage venture capital firm investing in energy, sustainability and mobility fields, has promoted Kevin Kopcynsk to partner.

Kopcynsk serves on the boards of Ascension Industries, a manufacturer for the industrial and energy markets, and Enki Technologies, a developer of glass coating for solar modules. He is also an advisory committee member and guest lecturer for the Cleantech to Market Program at University of California-Berkeley is a VC consultant for the Department of Defense Venture Catalyst Initiative.

Kopcynski came to RockPort in 2008 with experience as a consultant in the technology and innovation practice at Arthur D. Little, assisting clients with new product development initiatives, and in various operating and senior technical positions at a medical start-up company. He also worked for Lazard, a global, private investment bank, concentrating in mergers, acquisitions and strategic advisory. Kopcynsk earned a BSE in mechanical and aerospace engineering from Princeton in 1998. He holds an M.S. in engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from the University of California-Berkeley.
