The bi-lingual YingHua International School in Princeton, New Jersey, announced that Kristin Epstein has been appointed executive director.

A former engineer, Epstein first became involved with local Mandarin-English language charter schools as a board member about five years ago. During that time, she completed board member training and a public charter school management training program at New Jersey’s State Department of Education in Trenton. Originally hired as director of development, Epstein was soon asked to become the school’s executive director.

Epstein received a BSE in civil engineering from Princeton in 1997 and a M.S. in environmental engineering from Johns Hopkins University in 2000. She has stayed connected to Princeton as an active University volunteer. For example, she reactivated the Princeton area Alumni Association and has served as a career service volunteer.
