Gimbal, Inc., a location and proximity-based mobile engagement company, named Jeffrey Russakow as its president and chief executive officer. He will also serve on its board of directors. Russakow’s responsibilities will include working with Gimbal’s global customers, partners, employees and executive team to increase the company’s presence in the mobile engagement sector.

Russakow’s professional experience includes over 20 years in operating and general management roles. Leadership positions he has held include CEO of Findly; CEO and operating partner of Symphony Technology Group; executive vice president and chief customer officer at Yahoo!; and vice president of corporate strategy at Symantec. After graduating from Princeton in 1990 with a BSE in mechanical and aerospace engineering, Russakow went on to earn a master’s and a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Stanford University
