Decision making and reinforcement learning problems involving uncertainty or hidden information; modeling uncertainty and designing algorithmic approaches that "learn" the best decisions as information is revealed. optimization (stochastic, online, and even more), stochastic programming, variational inequalities, dynamic programing, statistical learning, and game dynamics.
