Paul Maeder was recently appointed to a four-year term as board member of the National Venture Capital Association, a member-based organization representing the U.S. venture capital industry. The association’s mission is to foster greater understanding of the industry in regard to its importance to this country’s economy and support of entrepreneurial activity and innovation. Maeder is the managing general partner of Highland Capital Partners, a venture capital company that invests in seed, early and growth stage companies in information technology, communications and healthcare. He graduated in 1975 from Princeton University with a B.S.E. in mechanical and aerospace engineering.
