Rajiv De Silva was named president and chief executive officer of Endo Health Solutions Inc., a company developing integrated end-to-end solutions in specialized therapeutic areas, including pain management and urology. De Silva also became a member of the pharmaceutical company’s board of directors.
From 2009 until his move to Endo, De Silva was at Valeant Pharmaceuticals, serving as president and chief operating officer of Valeant’s special pharmaceuticals business. Before that he was at Novartis as president of its vaccines business and as head of vaccines in the Americas. He also had served as president and CEO of Novartis Pharmaceuticals Canada and as global head of strategic planning.
De Silva earned a BSE in civil engineering and operations research from Princeton in 1989, followed by a M.S. in environmental engineering from Stanford and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania.
