Ted Hall was named the 2017 Napa Valley Grower of the Year for contributions to the Napa Valley wine industry and community. As president and CEO of Long Meadow Ranch since 1989, Hall was recognized for following a motto of “excellence through responsible farming,” resulting in agricultural preservation, sustainable practices, and dedicated community focus. He has developed a diversified agricultural program to produce wine, olive oil, fruits and vegetables, beef, lamb, and more on the ranch.

As an active community leader, Hall serves on the Napa Valley Grapegrowers board of directors, is a member of its Industry Issues Committee, and chairs the St. Helena School District Agricultural Education Committee. In past years he chaired the Napa County Agriculture Protection Advisory Committee, served on the advisory board of the Land Trust of Napa County, was a member of the Napa Local Food Council, and donated multiple conservation easements of land in the county.

Hall’s BSE from Princeton in 1970 is in electrical engineering. He holds an MBA received from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 1973.
